- The Cursèd Pickle of Shireton (choice): Hanon Ondricek's games are always weird and funny and very meta, and this was a delight to play. It starts off as a text MMORPG (which is fun on its own) and goes off the deep end. Winning another scenario is necessary to progress the main plot; it can be repeated upon dying.
- Ferryman's Gate (parser): An edutainment game about grammar with a fun world and a good sense of humor. Makes me want to proofread my review.
- Stuff of Legend (parser): A charming game following a village idiot becoming a knight, sort of. You can pet the horse, and cow, and cat, and--
- Academic Pursuits (As Opposed To Regular Pursuits) (parser): An intriguing story revealed through unpacking.
- Babyface (choice): Creepy southern gothic with great use of sound and visuals.
- Desolation (parser): A fun horror game that uses puzzles for great narrative effect. A sequel to a game I haven't played (Two Braids Girl), but works well in media res.
- (s)wordsmyth (choice): A thoughtful, entertaining story about revenge (or the absence of it). The inexplicable visual novel interface makes playing (especially replaying after the frequent deaths) far more annoying than it should be.
